Gallery Intern

Part time, 18 hours a week, until end of June 2022 (with possibility of extension)

Extended deadline: Midnight, Monday 31 January 2022

Salary: Hourly paid at National Living Wage (£10.97 per hour inc 12.07% allowance in lieu of paid holiday).

Departure Lounge Gallery are looking for a Gallery Intern, to provide administration and marketing support to the organisation’s small team, assisting with the day-to-day running of the gallery and the promotion of our lively exhibitions and events programme. You will work closely with the Curator to create exciting and dynamic content for our social media and website and be responsible for managing our digital presence. You will also work closely with the Curator to assist with planning and running exhibition opening events, gallery talks and learning activities both in person and online.

This is an entry level role and would suit someone with an interest in working in the arts, looking to build experience within a gallery or visual arts setting. Training and mentoring will be provided to the right candidate. If you have ambition, a willingness to learn and a passion for the arts then we would love to hear from you.
